  • Dermal fillers largely consist of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that binds water within the skin, supplying abundant hydration. Because dermal fillers can be used to add volume where it is needed, the hyaluronic acid is formulated with a gel-like consistency so it can be injected and gently massaged into place where it integrates with your natural tissues. Dermal fillers also contain a small amount of local anaesthetic to minimise any discomfort associated with needles.
